Best Catholic Underground evahhh.
FYI, if I ever drop off from posting for a few days it’s because something has happened in my offline life that I’m eventually going to tell you about anyway. LOL.
The talent for January’s Catholic Underground LA was the Cajun band L’angelus, made up of siblings Katie, Stephen, and Paige Rees. It was the largest turn out we’ve ever had for a CU, and it was probably the rowdiest too!
I had the pleasure of hanging out with the band for a few days and may I just say that they were FUN, FUN, FUN. I picked them up from LAX on Thursday evening and just happened to run into the Jonas Brothers outside of St. Victor’s. (Random, right?) On Friday I took them with me to my internship at Family Theater where they got a full tour with mass and holy hour included. My supervisor took them up to see Hollywood Blvd. and we all ended up getting an impromptu tour of Metanoia Films (that apparently is in close proximity to FTP.)
We also received a bunch of donations that night, and thank God because just that week we were trying to figure out ways to fundraise!
Paige and Katie packed into the back of my car at LAX…they were such good sports!
