Not my actual birthday which will be here in a few weeks, but the one-year anniversary of this blog!

I just realized that I totally missed it. I started blogging on September 10, 2007. I started the party with an introductory post saying hello to the blogosphere, and then later that day I showed you my dorm room.

To commemorate the occasion that was totally two months ago, I thought I’d pull out some of my favorite posts from the archives:

1. I don’t wanna see your man junk.

Yes, that was the name of the post…because the only way to treat the subject of male genitals on the big screen is to be glib and sarcastic…

2. Swallow your pride and learn your craft.

The post I wrote after I finished writing my first ever feature-length screenplay. I think I’ve developed my view of the industry and my goals for my career substantially in between the time I wrote this post and where I am now.

I went into class thinking it was going to be easy because it always has been, but I ended up getting kicked in the rear when I saw how difficult it is to write genre, especially the Christian genre. And yes, my butt cheeks do hurt. So now I’ve gotten past the path of least resistance and am well on my way to becoming a character that actually has some depth. (hehe…screenwriter’s joke.) 5. I met Kurt Russell Jeff Bridges.

This was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

Now I don’t know if I was just delirious from the lack of sleep from finals week, or if I was just tipsy from consuming two chalices full of consecrated blood that was left over from mass, (probably a bit of both), but I swear when I looked out of the corner of my eye I saw Kurt Russell getting down on the dance floor about a foot away from me with some hot blonde chick who was not Goldie Hawn.
