Obvious beta male is oh so very obvious.

There’s a running joke on my favorite political blog about alpha males vs. beta males.  In my opinion, practicing Christian men are pretty much always alpha males—they are leaders who understand that their masculinity comes from Christ.

I meet way too many beta males out here in LA, and given that I work in a number of different media outlets I have a non-scientific theory about beta males grossly overrunning the media industry like rats. Witness a beta male tear down an alpha male:

“Perpetually Nude Dude Has No Problem With Deciding Others’ Morals”

The name Eduardo Verastegui kept coming up when I was searching for blog material. I didn’t know who the hell he was (sorry don’t watch many Telenovelas), but when he officially announced hisendorsement of McCain I decided to do a bit of research.

First stop: Google Image Search. Dude is half naked in just about every pic that comes up.

Second stop: Google news. Dude is an outspoken opponent of abortion and Obama. He even did a Spanish language seven minute video on Obama’s stance on abortion which included graphic images. Apparently he’s a born-again Catholic. He also has publicly supported California’s Prop. 8, which would ban gay marriage.

So here is the question: If this dude clearly had no problem exploiting his body and sexuality for his professional advancement, where does he get off telling women what to do with their bodies and reproductive rights? Source

Poor, poor, whiny beta male who has probably never stood up for anything in his life. As many of the commenters point out, the writer fails to acknowledge Eduardo’s conversion while steadily regurgitating talking points.

This is why alpha males get all of the quality females. Girls don’t like followers. Hat tip to Clayton who I got this link from.

I bet you St. Joseph wasn’t no beta male!

I’m also from L.A. and I agree with you that there are way too many beta males in this city.

There are so many different things that are so wrong with the article. There’s no such thing as a “born-again Catholic”. As you said, he failed to acknowledge that Eduardo no longer does the type of modeling and acting that now compromises with his morals.

    Thanks for this post. :D
