Jesus of Nazareth California.

It’s Tuesday but I’m still exhausted from the weekend. On Saturday morning I attended a Life Walk as a part of the LA chapter of 40 Days For Life, a worthy cause that I hope you are supporting by prayer if not by anything else.

This is my first time participating in this event, and so far I’ve witnessed three babies get saved and one potential adoption facilitated. You may have read about Eduardo Verastegui’s participation in the event in LSN a few weeks ago. I was at the same clinic he was, and it was pretty amazing to watch him work.

Saturday night was the October meeting of Catholic UndergroundLA at which the very talented Caitlin Crosby performed.

I am now helping out the core team on the days of the event managing the priests for Confession, and I must say it was one of the

more low-key events I’ve helped facilitate. (There is just no comparison to being a sacristan for 40,000 people at RE Congress.)

On Sunday I taught my Confirmation kids an entire lesson totally alone without any help for the first time.  It went very well, and I thank God for it because I had no idea I was going to be teaching anything that Sunday.  As a matter of fact, I didn’t even realize I had been left alone with a room of twenty 16-year-olds until we were almost done.

Next Sunday I’m bringing in a speaker to talk about the Theology of the Body and follow it up with some discussion. I’m at a critical point with them where they are starting to respond and cooperate with me naturally, and I figure this next discussion will further cement the bond so I can move on to deeper subjects. Who doesn’t love talking about sexuality on a Sunday afternoon?

Please pray for me and them.

I’ve got some pictures posted of the weekend events.  A Rumor Has It post is coming and I should be attending some film festivals and preview screenings pretty soon.  I’ll announce those later this week.
