Party time: Catholic Underground LA
So I went to my first Catholic Underground LA on Saturday. It was an awesome event and I’m pretty sure I will be attending each month hereafter until kingdom come. My love for the FFOR’s has been renewed once again.

My new friend Amy who I met through 4marks, then through Facebook, and finally in person last week at a dinner for Catholics in the entertainment industry, drew a drop dead gorgeous chalk mural of the Blessed Mother with the help of a few friends. I honestly stared at it for a while. The photos don’t do it justice…

If you’re ever in LA I would highly recommend you go see Tracy Esposito’s show Chicken Parmigiana. She was so funny and incredibly reverent at the same time. The show was an autobiographical one in which she talks about the development of her relationship with her devoutly Catholic mother once she is diagnosed with cancer. Tracy goes from a clubbing ‘Staten Island girl’ to attending mass everyday per the wish of her mother who can not go from the lack of strength from the chemotherapy. It was an awesome show.

My friend-date and I had to leave early, but low and behold as we were leaving we ran into none other than Bella star Eduardo Verastegui.

He talked to my friend and I for a bit and gave us a miraculous medal as we parted ways in the parking lot. The rumors are true, he is a very sweet guy.

Pax Christi, Rebecca.
PS: Any guesses as to why I look painfully awkward in the photo with Eduardo? Go ahead…take a guess.
Update: BTW, I forgot to mention that on Sunday I did a short interview with Sean McGaughey aka The Duct Tape Guy for his podcast Catholic New Media Round Up. I don’t know when it will be out, but I’ll let you know.
